News: Eco-tourism routes launched in La Mata, Torrevieja, Costa Blanca, Spain
This coming Sunday September 4th sees the start of the Eco-tourism routes season in Torrevieja, Costa Blanca with a walk among vineyards near the sea and the salt lagoon in La Mata. Fifty people have already registered in order to get to know the biodiversity of this area and the history of generations of vintners and salt production workers working these lands for centuries. The activity will be closed with a tasting of La Mata wine, made from local vineyards.
Each of the routes that are available this season brings participants a great opportunity to live a unique experience. A series of night routes were scheduled this summer whereas morning excursions are now available.
Each of the routes is done in Spanish and in English, with a maximum of 50 participants each day. There is a waiting list. Registrations must be made three weeks before the chosen date, completing an online form at www.turismodetorrevieja.com or in person at the Tourist Office in Paseo Vista Alegre, Torrevieja, Monday to Friday 9 am to 7 pm and Saturday 10 am to 2 pm.
